About the Journal

The International Journal of Gender Knowledge and Social Futures (IJGKSF) is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal committed to advancing interdisciplinary research on gender, social transformation, and inclusive development. Hosted by the Women Researchers Council (WRC) at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC), IJGKSF provides a high-quality platform for scholars, policymakers, and practitioners to explore the intersections of politics, economics, sociology, and gender studies.

The journal addresses the critical need for rigorous, evidence-based research that examines structural inequalities and promotes socially sustainable futures. In a period characterized by rapid socio-political change, migration, and economic transformation, understanding the role of gender in shaping institutions, policies, and societies has never been more urgent. IJGKSF emphasizes scholarship that advances theoretical frameworks while offering actionable insights to inform policy, governance, and social interventions.

The International Journal of Gender, Knowledge, and Social Futures is published exclusively in English. It follows a biannual publication schedule, with issues released in June and December each year. Articles submitted to the Journal undergo double-blind peer review to ensure high-quality scholarly standards. The Journal accepts contributions in the following categories: theoretical and methodological studies, original research articles, case studies, research notes, and book reviews, with a particular focus on topics at the intersection of gender, knowledge, and social futures.
