Abstract

The primary objective of the study is to provide a scientific and theoretical rationale for enhancing the database used to analyze the sustainable socio-economic development of regions. The study substantiates the need to improve the database—specifically for the comprehensive economic, social, and environmental assessment of regional development—and to enrich it in alignment with the key requirements of digital transformation. Research methods employed include observation, comparative analysis, a systems approach, deduction and induction, scientific abstraction, logical generalization, and approaches characterizing the state of the regional development database. The study’s scientific novelty lies in the classification of indicators used to analyze the sustainable socio-economic development of domestic regions, as well as the justification for identifying and incorporating additional indicators into the database to provide a detailed characterization of the sustainable socio-economic development of Azerbaijan's regions.
The practical significance of the study lies in the potential to utilize the newly added indicators to analyze and formulate management solutions for the sustainable socio-economic development of regions. The findings will contribute to strengthening the database used for analyzing regional sustainable socio-economic development. The generalized scientific and theoretical insights regarding the economic, social, and environmental analysis of regional development will facilitate the creation of a database capable of supporting comprehensive analysis.
