Sustainable development has become a central focus in the global fashion industry, particularly in the design and production of outerwear that meets both functional performance and aesthetic requirements. This study examines the integration of sustainability principles into outerwear production in Azerbaijan, using Baku Tikish Evi LLC as a case study. The research highlights challenges faced by local manufacturers, including limited access to eco-friendly materials, technical constraints, the developing consumer awareness, as well as existing production practices, material usage, and design strategies. Comparative analysis with global trends reveals both gaps and opportunities for innovation through modular design, digital prototyping, and sustainable textile solutions inspired by cultural motifs. The findings indicate that combining traditional craftsmanship techniques with modern technologies and sustainable business models can provide a strategic roadmap for the Azerbaijani outerwear industry by enhancing product quality, market competitiveness, and environmental responsibility.
