About the Journal

UNEC Journal of Current Problems in Design (JCPD) – published by the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC), is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal. The journal provides a platform for highlighting current issues in the field of design, integrating theoretical and practical research, and promoting the development of disciplinary approaches.
JCPD explores the connection of contemporary design thinking with economics, culture, technology, and systemic practices. The journal serves as an academic platform for both researchers and practicing designers in the field.

Scope
The journal accepts articles on topics including, but not limited to:

  • Current problems in graphic and visual design

  • Design in the context of national and cultural identity

  • The impact of digital technologies on design

  • Sustainable and eco-friendly design approaches

  • Design education and pedagogical methodologies

  • Information design and research (UX/UI)

  • Branding and visual communication

  • Approaches to design from social, economic, and psychological perspectives

Special attention is given to interdisciplinary research examining design in relation to design economics, marketing, art, technology, and sociology.
