The Western Azerbaijan region has possessed a rich cultural heritage and a multilayered visual expression system for centuries. This article explores the visual language of Western Azerbaijani culture, tracing the evolution from traditional art forms-such as carpet ornaments, architectural motifs, clothing, and decorative elements-to contemporary graphic and digital design. The aim is to identify how the aesthetic codes and symbolism of this region continue to live and are reinterpreted within modern design practices. The study is conducted through historical, semiotic, and visual analysis methods.
As a result, the visual culture of Western Azerbaijan is presented as an aesthetic system that plays a significant role in shaping the national design identity.
