This scientific paper analyses the role and significance of the decorative approach as a means of expressing beauty in clothing. The use of decorative elements in clothing design serves to shape artistic and aesthetic taste and express individual style and cultural identity. The article scientifically substantiates the function of the decorative approach in creating harmony, colour harmony, harmony of form and composition in clothing. At the same time, it establishes a connection between the traditions of national clothing and the principles of modern design, explaining the role of the decorative approach in the preservation and development of aesthetic values.
