The manuscript should include a concise and informative title. Avoid unnecessary abbreviations or jargon.
Abstract
The abstract should be between 150–250 words and structured to include a brief background, the main body of the study, and a short conclusion. Please minimize abbreviations and do not cite references in the abstract.
Keywords
Please provide 4–6 keywords relevant to your article.
Length of Manuscript
Manuscripts of up to 30 pages (excluding endnotes and references) are appropriate. In special cases, the Editor-in-Chief may allow longer manuscripts.
Background
The Background section should explain the context of the study, its aims, a brief review of existing literature, and the issue under discussion.
Main Text
The main text should be single-spaced, using a 12-point font and following the Journal of Belt and Road Studies (JBRS) article template.
Figures
All figures must be cited in the text and numbered consecutively using Arabic numerals. Preferred formats are PNG and JPEG. Figures should be placed within the text at the appropriate points rather than at the end of the manuscript.
Tables
All tables must be cited in the text and numbered consecutively using Arabic numerals. Tables should be placed within the text at the appropriate points rather than at the end of the manuscript.
Conclusions
The Conclusions section should clearly summarize the main findings and explain their significance forBelt and Road Studies, regional connectivity, economic development, governance, geopolitics, and international cooperation.
List of Abbreviations
Abbreviations should be defined at their first occurrence in the text.
URLs and Web References
All web links, including links to authors’ own websites, should be cited in the References section rather than within the text. Include the full title, the URL, and the date the site was accessed.
References
The references section should be labeled “References” and appear at the end of the manuscript. References must be in alphabetical order with Arabic numerals. Only include works cited in the text and that have been published or accepted for publication. At least 70% of references should be recent (within the last five years).
