The Journal of Belt and Road Studies (JBRS) invites original research articles for its forthcoming issue, Vol. 1 No. 1, scheduled for publication in June, 2026.

JBRS is a peer-reviewed scientific journal hosted by Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC). Established in 2026, the journal serves as an interdisciplinary academic platform for advancing high-quality scholarship on the Belt and Road Initiative and its political, economic, social, and geopolitical dimensions.

The journal is open access and does not charge any Article Processing Charges (APCs).

The Journal of Belt and Road Studies (JBRS) welcomes rigorous, original, and unpublished manuscripts with strong theoretical foundations, robust methodologies, and clear scientific contributions. Submissions may address, but are not limited to, the following themes:

• Belt and Road Initiative and global governance

• Regional connectivity, infrastructure, and transport corridors

• Energy corridors, sustainability, and economic development

• Geopolitics, security, and international cooperation

• Trade, investment, and development finance along the Belt and Road

• Interdisciplinary perspectives on Belt and Road Studies

Publication Policy

• All submissions undergo a rigorous peer-review process.

• Only a limited number of high-quality papers will be accepted for publication.

• Manuscripts must demonstrate scientific originality, analytical depth, and empirical or theoretical contribution
