Abstract

The article examines the integration practices and communication mechanisms of integration platforms formed at the transregional level. It discusses the definition of a perspective, cooperation mechanisms, and methodological approaches for the systematic study of integration directions. The article examines important scientific and theoretical questions of the development of transregional relations in the modern world: the interrelationship of the processes of regional integration and trans-regionalism; identification of the driving factors of these two processes; ensuring the balance of national interests in the policy of regional integration and transregional cooperation. The main idea and contribution of the authors is to consider trans-regional integration as a new source of economic growth, to approach integration as a nonlinear process when drawing conclusions about the economic benefits of the participating countries, and to diversify foreign economic relations. The aim of the article is to systematize existing methodological approaches for assessing the levels of international economic integration. The motives and mechanisms of integration at the "country-region", "region-region" and "transre-gional" levels, as well as the potential opportunities of free economic zones and infrastructure projects, are assessed. Conceptual proposals are put forward on new directions of Azerbaijan's foreign economic relations and prospects for integration relations.
