The aim of this study is the examination of new phenomena observed within ongoing socio-economic processes, which, in turn, set new challenges for economic science in general and political economy in particular. The research was conducted using methods such as dialectical analysis, concrete-historical approaches, systematic analysis, and logical inference. The study’s limitations include insufficient exploration of changes in socio-economic life that significantly expand the subject matter of political economy as a science, a gap observable in most existing works on economic theory, particularly those concerning political economy. The study’s outcome lies in the analysis of new elements emerging within the structure of modern productive forces under the influence of rapid technological advancements, which thereby alter the subject of economic science. The practical significance of the research is its applicability in assessing shifts within the structure of contemporary productive forces, essential for developing effective socio-economic policies at the national level. The study’s scientific novelty and originality lie in uncovering the potential of political economy as a discipline to analyze new phenomena emerging in the process of productive force development, thereby expanding its scope as a science.
