This article focuses on the problems of gender inequality faced by women in the workforce. It emphasizes that gender inequality still exists in many areas of work, education, and society. Widespread perceptions about the roles and expectations of men and women in society form the basis of gender inequality.
In particular, women often face sexual discrimination in the workplace. Factors such as the gendered nature of professions and the perception that women are less valuable than men in certain fields create various barriers for women in their careers. Additionally, the need for women to balance work and family life is often a factor that negatively affects their career development. Household chores, childcare, and other family responsibilities can make it difficult for women to advance in their careers and attain higher positions.
Research shows that gender discrimination is still common in recruitment and termination processes. Factors such as marital status, being single, and pregnancy have been shown to affect women’s experiences in the workplace. This is a significant problem that hinders women from enjoying equal opportunities in their careers.
The study’s findings emphasize the importance of employers providing training to prevent gender-based discrimination. Managers’ awareness and efforts in this area will guide the creation of policies that improve women’s positions in the labor market.
