ANALYSIS OF THE PROBLEM OF SOCIAL DECAY IN MODERN SOCIETIES IN THE CONTEXT OF THE EDUCATION SYSTEM AND HUMAN CAPITAL

Abstract

This article examines the problem of social decay in contemporary societies within the context of the education system and human capital. The study investigates young people's attitudes toward education and the structural challenges within the education system as one of the key factors contributing to the emergence of social decay. In particular, declining educational motivation among young people, the weakening of social responsibility, and the influence of the digital environment are identified as major factors increasing the risk of social decay. Furthermore, the lack of practical knowledge, quality-related deficiencies within the education system, and shortcomings in fostering students' potential are highlighted as significant factors contributing to the deepening of the problem.

Based on the concept of human capital, the study emphasizes that weaknesses within the education system have adverse long-term effects on both social welfare and economic development. Drawing upon classical sociological approaches, international reports, and statistical evidence, the research concludes that social decay is not merely the result of individual choices but also a complex social phenomenon closely associated with systemic challenges. The article further argues that the implementation of comprehensive reforms in the education sector is essential for promoting social development and preserving the potential of future generations.
